Chocolate Bacon Roses

I jokingly sent my husband a link to a blog with bacon roses, telling him that if he wanted to get me flowers, he should make these instead.  

Tom rarely checks his email, so imagine my surprise when I walked into the house later that day to find him baking bacon roses!  This photo even has him doing the dishes behind the bacon roses.  It's a perfect photo:-)

Sadly, the flavor is not my favorite-- I think perhaps a lighter drizzle of chocolate would be better over crisped bacon slices.  I am not giving up.  

But they are fun, they made us smile, and it was definitely a romantic gesture!
